Overview

The Revenue Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all casino and hotel revenue accounting functions for a full-service hotel and casino property in Atlantic City. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting of gaming and non-gaming revenues while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal controls, and accounting standards.

 

The Revenue Accounting Manager supervises daily revenue audit activities, reconciliations, financial reporting, and operational accounting processes across casino operations, hotel operations, food & beverage outlets, entertainment venues, and ancillary revenue streams. The position works closely with Finance, Casino Operations, Hotel Operations, Cage, IT, and Internal Audit departments.

Responsibilities

Casino Revenue Accounting

 

  • Oversee daily casino revenue accounting and audit functions including:

 

  • Slot revenue
  • Table games revenue
  • Poker operations
  • Sportsbook
  • Cage and count room reconciliations
  • Review and approve daily gaming revenue reports and variance analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with all gaming regulations, internal controls, and accounting
  • Coordinate with surveillance, compliance, and internal audit teams regarding gaming discrepancies and investigations.
  • Monitor ACSC and SMS Systems for completeness and accuracy.

 

Hotel & Non-Gaming Revenue Accounting

 

  • Manage accounting processes for hotel operations including:

 

  • Room revenue
  • Group and convention billing
  • Complimentary (“comp”) transactions
  • Food & beverage outlets
  • Retail operations
  • Entertainment venues
  • Spa and amenities
  • Parking and ancillary services
  • Ensure proper revenue recognition and posting accuracy across all operating systems.

 

Financial Reporting

 

  • Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports.
  • Analyze revenue trends, variances, exceptions, and operational discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end close procedures including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.

 

 Compliance & Internal Controls

 

  • Maintain strong internal controls over cash handling and revenue reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • State gaming regulations
    • GAAP standards
    • Company accounting policies
    • Internal audit requirements
    • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • College degree required (may substitute additional experience for degree).
  • Sixteen (16) to thirty two (32) credits in Finance and Accounting.
  • Minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience in casino/hotel finance with progressive responsibility appropriate experience.
  • Strong analytical, planning and managerial skills.
