This role is an in-office position. Candidates will need to work in the office Monday through Friday each week. This will only be impacted by Holidays or inclement weather.
Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Executive Director of Human Resources, works to support the organization’s recruitment and employee engagement efforts.
Schedules, coordinates, and facilitates new hire processing and orientation.
Responsible for overseeing the maintenance of employment records, both in the file room and electronically, to include proper storage, retention, and accuracy.
Responsible for the preparation, tracking, maintenance, and periodic audit of all I9 records and work authorizations.
Responsible for maintaining an accurate record of open and closed requisitions, replacement names, and hires, to minimize duplication of requisitions.
Sources applicants through various methods that may include internal and external job postings, advertisements, recruiting firms, career sites, career fairs, union calls, etc.
Coordinates, attends, and participates in recruitment fairs and career opportunity presentations, both on and off property.
Communicates as needed with Hiring Managers on staffing needs/shortages and assists them, as needed, with reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting interviews.
Ensures recruitment processes are compliant with federal and state law.
Daily tasks may include:
Reviewing Personnel Action Forms for completeness and accuracy and resolving discrepancies
Handling HRIS data entry administration as it pertains to hires, terminations, transfers, licensing, promotions, pay increases, etc.
Create ATS user accounts for new hiring managers and trains them on the recruitment process.
Pulling reports and performing audits of HRIS system to ensure accuracy in the inputting of data
Running and distributing weekly, monthly, and yearly reports, as necessary.
Managing performance appraisal process to include updating of next review and next increase dates, pulling reports, and notifying Department Heads of upcoming appraisal due dates, etc.
Responsible for tracking employee licensing information and handling renewal notifications
Performing salary surveys and compensation analysis.
Maintaining Employee Referral program.
Additional tasks may include:
Creating/ Implementing Employee Programs
Assisting with Benefits and Leave of Absence administration
Promotes positive public relations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience in Hospitality, Human Resources or Psychology.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in recruitment/Human Resources/Hospitality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, and applicant tracking systems.
Excellent planning, organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality / professional discretion.
Progressive thinker with attention to detail and strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, with priority, while meeting deadlines.
Ability to self-initiate value-added tasks.
Ability and desire to learn all facets of Human Resources to best assist applicants and employees with questions and concerns.
