Responsibilities

  • Assists with the overall supervision of banquet operations.
  • Assists with the selection, training and supervision of banquet and convention services staff.
  • Supervises housemen including performance, daily worksheets and hours worked.
  • Assists with daily and weekly payroll reviews and ensures proper scheduling of Banquet staff.
  • Maximizes labor efficiency.
  • Coordinates pre-function briefing to ensure scheduled events are successfully presented.
  • Ensures that banquet checks and related administrative event documents are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitors inventory and storerooms and coordinates operating equipment allocation and par stock maintenance.
  • Works closely with the Chef, Stewarding and Beverage departments to ensure proper set-ups and food & beverage are provided.
  • Maintains fire safety regulations.
  • Maintains professional demeanor and flexibility to accommodate for changes.
  • Promotes positive public relations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years appropriate experience.
  • College degree; may substitute additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and supervisory skills.
  • PC knowledge, specifically: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Delphi System knowledge.
