Responsibilities

  • Coordinates staffing, scheduling and activities of public area cleaning staff.
  • Responsible for service areas on guest room floors.
  • Ensures all employees obtain necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Assists with staffing, scheduling and training of staff.
  • Responsible for issuance and maintenance of all equipment.
  • Responsible for issuance and storage of all cleaning chemicals.
  • Monitors day to day schedules, as well as all routine work involved in the schedules, and ensures that all policies and procedures are followed.
  • Is knowledgeable of all job descriptions and shift activities.
  • Trains employees in the proper and safe use of all cleaning chemicals, supplies, and mechanical equipment.
  • Controls the issuing and proper return of all equipment. Equipment to be repaired, follows through with repair request and logging of same.
  • Disciplines employees via write-up’s. Attends grievance hearings as necessary.
  • Ensures that cleanliness of all areas of responsibility during the shift, and conducts quality control inspections.
  • Project workers will be the responsibility of the shift manager in the area where said work is being performed.
  • Evaluates new personnel prior to completion of probationary period.
  • Responsible for walk through of assigned areas with on-duty supervisors, prior to start of a shift, logging all pertinent information in log book.
  • Responsible for documentation of hours worked, overtime, and early-outs of all employees under a Shift Manager's jurisdiction by initialing same on sign-in sheets and making corresponding changes on daily assignment sheets.
  • Ensures all Resorts rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.
  • A Security escort will be provided when access to casino restricted areas is needed.
  • Promotes positive public relations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • College degree.(may substitute additional experience for degree)
  • Minimum two (2) years of appropriate experience.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills, organizational ability and judgment, as well as the ability to direct and manage people.
