  • This position is responsible for overseeing the hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and counseling of staff in the Payroll and Accounts Payable departments.
  • Maintains the Payroll, Accounts Payable and Time & Attendance system software.
  • Ensures the timely processing of payroll.
  • Ensures the timely payment of vendor obligations and employee T&E reimbursements, in accordance with company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Remits all payroll related taxes.
  • Prepares and files employment tax returns for Federal, State, and local governments.
  • Oversees the processing, distribution and filing of the W2’s and 1099’s.
  • Troubleshoots system and pay issues.
  • Works closely with other departments and vendors to coordinate and resolve issues.
  • Coordinates with Purchasing to ensure compliance with vendor licensing and updates to the vendor master files.
  • Routinely reviews and audits Payroll, Accounts Payable and Time & Attendance records and processes, for accuracy.
  • Maintains departmental policies and procedures and training manuals.
  • Promotes positive public relations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • College degree, preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience in Payroll/Accounts Payable in a high-volume organization.
  • Previous experience preparing employer payroll tax returns and the processing/filing of W2 and 1099 forms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, leadership, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of budget process.
  • Thorough understanding of Federal and State wage and hour laws, tip allocation, and GITCA program.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality / professional discretion.
  • Experience with Infinium and/or Workday, a plus.
