Overview

Provides basic security coverage ensuring that adequate protection is provided for the safety and assets of patrons, employees and the company.

Responsibilities

  • Assigned to posts in the hotel, casino resort and outside environments to deter and prevent illegal or terroristic activities, hazards, company and regulatory violations.
  • Ensures that proper security is provided for all transfers of monies within the casino and hotel complex.
  • Enforce and comply with company and department policies/procedures, regulatory rules and criminal law.
  • Assist injured and ill persons and employees using basic first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or automated external defibrillator (AED).
  • Apprehend and detain violators
  • Observe and report hazards, suspicious persons and activity.
  • Able to prepare detailed incident reports, take statements, and conduct interviews.
  • Able to collect evidence and property, as well as preserve incident and crimes scenes
  • Able to sign criminal charges for on sight crimes and misdemeanors.
  • Makes State & Municipal court and civil disposition appearances as required or ordered
  • Assist Management & Supervision in the training of Security Officers
  • Able understand and document information in the electronic data system.
  • Must be able to carry weight up to 30 lbs. in one arm
  • Must be able to wear a radio with earpiece or microphone without any medical limitations.
  • Promotes positive public relations.
  • Able to work alone and self-disciplined.
  • Able to operate a two wheeled mountain bike in all environments and conditions including different levels of lighting conditions and in day and night hours.
  • Able to make minor bike repairs
  • Able to operate motor vehicle and possess a valid motor vehicle driver’s license.
  • Able to use mechanical devises, i.e., elevators, escalators, motor vehicles
  • Report damaged equipment and vehicles (Bikes, Motor Vehicle, etc.)
  • Perform duties when subject to disruptive, disorderly, loud & abusive conduct in the course of their Security duties.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one (1) year of appropriate experience in a high volume casino preferred.
  • Previous bike patrol experience preferred.
  • Good appearance and oral communication skills
  • Valid New Jersey Driver’s License & able to operate a motor vehicle
  • Speak, understand & write English language fluently
  • Above average verbal & written communication & computer systems skills
